My Beautiful

My Beautiful Laundrette is a 1985 British romantic comedy-drama film. The story focuses on Omar, played by Gordon Warnecke, a young Pakistani man living in London, and his reunion and eventual romance with his old friend, a street punk named Johnny, played by Daniel Day-Lewis. I watched it on Max.

Roger Ebert has a positive review. 98% or Rotten Tomatoes critics gave it positive reviews.

Moving day was Tuesday, and I'm hoping to be back to my normal blogging routine soon. Nothing fits like I thought it would, so there's much rearranging of furniture going on. It'll be good to be back to normal.

    1. Yeah, this is comedy/drama so not so much light-hearted comedy. But I don't care for rom-coms much either.

  2. Sounds like you still have a lot to do with moving. It always takes more time than you expect, doesn't it? Happy end of JUne Nita.

  6. OMGosh! I didn't know you were moving! There is so much to do and it is so exhausting. Take as much time as you need. Do you have outdoor space at the new place? I hope you love your new space.
I know I have heard of this movie but I don't think I have actually seen it. I'll add it to my long list--lol! ;)

    1. I'm not moving, but my husband (who has been only home on week-ends for the last several years) is moving back in permanently. So much duplicates from maintaining 2 households!

Happy rearranging and settling in to your new home.

    All the best Jan

    1. I'm staying put, but my husband will be here full-time now. We have a lot of duplication, especially in the kitchen, from having 2 households for the past several years.
