    1. No, but it was the same horror/comedy concept and well-respected as one of those.

    1. Ah, but _comedy_! The ghost element is all that touches on the horror genre, and comedy/horror was a popular concept back in the day. Definitely not scary. This is pretty forgotten but still considered one of his best films by people who consider it.

  4. I do like Bob Hope movies. They can be goofy but he knows how to do comedy. I am adding this to my wish list, although it sounds vaguely familiar. Happy weekend!

  5. Horror and comedy don't seem to go hand in hand. I'll need to watch this one.

    1. They've been a thing for decades, even at the beginning of film. Those dancing ghosts and skeletons in early silent shorts, those Abbott and Costello movies from the 1940s and '50s, Casper the Friendly Ghost from my childhood...

  7. That was a strange experience. The video was running almost five minutes behind the audio. Was so weird that I kept watching. Yup--about 4 1/2 minutes of silent movie after it ended...so I could finally see the bad guy and good guy--LOL! Glass coffins are just beyond creepy--BTW! LOL!

    1. Well, bummer! I watched it on Youtube, and that didn't happen, but that video is gone now. This link seems to work:

    2. I found it an amusing adventure. The mismatch...the waiting for what I heard to come on the screen--LOL! It was a light movie, after all...and I'd never seen that happen before. A few seconds, yes--but not minutes--LOL!

    3. I found another one at Daily Motion that was exactly the same way. They must have gotten their videos from the same flawed source.

    4. Not somethng I would want to repeat but it was quite a silly adventure. Can't believe I got through the entire movie like that--lol! ;)

    5. I've watched them like that (and also in tiny little boxes on the screen and without subtitles if they're foreign...) but only if I really want to see the movie and can't find it any other way. It's a strange experience, as you say, but in some cases better than nothing ;)
