Every year I go down to the river and watch the sunset on either the day of the Summer Solstice or on the longest day of the year. The solstice was late at night on the day I took the sunset photos in this post.
Beautiful sunset and what a great tradition. The Mississippi is like a lake! That must be a really long bridge. Cool to see since I've only since the Mississippi in St. Louis many years ago and then once in New Orleans. Happy Thursday. Hugs-Erika
Because this blog does not consist of a single focus topic I chose the name Divers and Sundry where "Divers" means being of many and various kinds, and "Sundry" means consisting of a haphazard assortment of different kinds.
Beautiful photos. I remember driving on that bridge over the Mississippi.
ReplyDeleteDriving over the bridge is definitely not my favorite thing lol. It adds to the photo, though. I love the "M" shape for Memphis :)

ReplyDeleteThat bridge (the "M" bridge) is almost 2 miles long: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hernando_de_Soto_Bridge

ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful place to watch the sunset :)
DeleteI have walked over the start of the Mississippi in Minnesota. Beautiful pics. :)
ReplyDeleteI'll bet that's a fun thing to do. They've added a pedestrian walkway across the river here, and it gives a different perspective.
