by Paul McCartney, who will celebrate his 75th birthday this coming Sunday.
lyrics excerpt:
Would you care to sit with mePlease share your drink-related post at Bleubeard and Elizabeth's weekly T Stands for Tuesday blog party.
For a cup of English tea
Very twee, very me
Any sunny morning
What a pleasure it would be
Chatting so delightfully
Nanny bakes, fairy cakes
Every Sunday morning
....
How amazing. I have NEVER heard that song before. I love the lyrics, though. They are simply perfect for T this Tuesday. As always, I'm enormously impressed with how you think outside the box and find the appropriate song and singer to help celebrate a birthday or death to go with your tea or coffee inspired music.
ReplyDeleteI so enjoyed listening to this song and watching the photo montage, to continue the English them "it was delightful" (grin!) 😀. I often listen to the Beatles and visiting Liverpool is always fun, it's amazing to think he will be 75 on Sunday! Thanks for this very fitting tribute and wishing you a Happy T Tuesday! J 😊
ReplyDeleteI love this video and the song. I can't believe Sir Paul is going to be 75, and still going strong! Its sad when all those icons of your growing up and early adult years start to pass away or fade into only song memories as they retire and disappear. But I heard Sir Paul is still fantastic to see in concert. It would be great to see him. But if not, and for now, I enjoyed this T Day moment! Happy Tuesday. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteI always loved Paul and I love this song, too. Thanks for the nice memories! Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteAah, my favorite Beatle:) I haven't heard this song in a long time and I thoroughly enjoyed hearing it again. Happy birthday to Paul, and happy T day to you!
ReplyDeleteThank you for reminding me of this song, its years since I last heard it.
