Apostle (2018)

Apostle is a 2018 period horror film. I watched it on Netflix.

trailer:

The Guardian calls it an "exhilarating Netflix horror" and "a wild, gory surprise". Roger Ebert's site calls it "an unsettling journey into a very dark corner of the world".

    1. It's fine. Not ground-breakingly must-see material, but fine.

  3. The murders of all those kids in Texas is enough horror for me just now. Valerie

    1. That's not even unexpected these days and yet will we get any change? No, of course not.

    1. It can't compare to real life gore in the news, so I'm fine with the movie version

  7. Argh, horrible indeed, anything hot freaks me out. Boy, if people really are that cruel... well, suppose some are indeed! Wonder if we have a (darn) German version of that. It´s really sad Netflix is no use to us!

  8. I'm sure you read I've been offline and am trying desperately to catch up. Between Ukraine and Uvalde (even Buffalo), I have enough gore in my life. The state of the world is so sad right now. I see abortion has been kicked off the front page of newspapers in favor of guns!

    1. They'll protect a fertilized egg from the moment of conception but not a classroom full of 10 year olds. Truly deplorable.
