Force of Evil is a 1948 crime film starring John Garfield. Paul Fix is in this, and Beau Bridges has an uncredited role in his first on-screen appearance.
It's included in the book 1001 Movies You must See Before You Die. Rotten Tomatoes has a critics consensus score of 100%.
You meant John Garfield and not James Garfield. I was thinking James Garfield would have been just a kid and Beau Bridges must have been a baby. Was he the boy that daddy swung around because he won at the races?
lol!!! corrected, thx! Beau Bridges was 7 according to Wikipedia. That was his 2nd film that year. He started young. He played the boss gangster's son.
Because this blog does not consist of a single focus topic I chose the name Divers and Sundry where "Divers" means being of many and various kinds, and "Sundry" means consisting of a haphazard assortment of different kinds.
...the force of evil seems to be everywhere these days.
ReplyDeleteEvil is always a force.
