James Govan at the Rum Boogie Cafe on Beale Street in Memphis TN. He was a frequent performer there. He was 64 when he died on July 18, 2014.

    New Orleans has banned go cups and it looks like Memphis may need to do the same. I think the guy shooting the video was a bit tipsy. Didn't take away from the great vibes, though.

      It's a Beale Street thang. Otherwise open containers are illegal on the street.

      I'm glad you enjoyed Beale Street. Even as someone who lives here I enjoy going to Beale Street. I always go during the day. It's less crowded then ;)
