I saw that film awhile ago, and enjoyed it. Happy T-Day!
Also, I saw your comment over at Elizabeth's, about the tracking cookies, etc. I didn't like how the link to blog posts last week was to that link thing, and not directly to the blog itself, but I left comments that way, anyway. I don't recall it asking me to accept their cookies, though.
As an FYI: if you have a Smart Phone and installed Facebook onto it, Facebook uploaded your entire phone contact list to their server, without telling you they did that. (That got revealed by some reporter, then Facebook admitted they did it.) Other Apps on Smart Phones do the same thing. And both iPhone (Apple Smart Phone OS) and Android (Google Smart Phone OS) plan to change their OS so that Bluetooth is always on so they can record anyone else you come in contact with, all to keep you safe from the next covid-19 like pandemic, according to them, by being able to track all of your "physically close encounters" with other people when you're in places like the grocery store, etc. and uploading that information to their server, to save it, and you won't be able to turn off that "feature".
I probably saw that film on one of your blog posts :)
My objection had nothing to do with cookies. I make my internet decisions in as informed a manner as I can, and I recognize the issues with FB. I saw information on the phone contact tracing issue at Wired several months ago: https://www.wired.com/story/apple-google-bluetooth-contact-tracing-covid-19/ I did try to research the linking tool she used but didn't find much. It was more comfortable for me personally to comment on blogs last week through the feed reader I use to subscribe to them rather than going through that linking tool. My explanation obviously caused offense, and I am truly sorry for that. I've learned a lot through this experience.
I don't think I've heard of this noir or the actors. I like the cool shape of your mug, but I'd reverse the colors so the blue was on the outside. Happy T Day!
I bought one that was sky blue with white inside but discovered a hairline crack once I got it home. I agree the color reversal would make for a better cup.
I have NO idea what is wrong with my blogger blog, but I can't see this film, either. It's just a blank spot. It must be my computer, because no one else seems to have a problem seeing the film.
That is one retro looking mug you got. I agree the cobalt blue would be great on the outside, but it's still a beauty. Thanks for sharing this and your coffee with us, as well as the film, for T this Tuesday, dear.
I don't think it's a problem with your blog. It's possible it's a computer setting, but I don't know what that would be... This is another Internet Archive film, and they're the ones you don't see. Can you see it on their website at this link? https://archive.org/details/CloseUp_947
Or it's on Youtube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=exS70uk4OLk
A film and cuppa sounds good to me, loving your art deco mug too! It's such a pretty yellow with the dark blue interior - gorgeous 😁. Take care and Happy T Day wishes! Hugs, Jo x
That yellow cup would cheer me up in the morning. Heaven knows I need something to distract me from whatever "news" is going to be on for the day. I really only want to hear about the weather and DH says "just stick your head out the door". LOL!
Because this blog does not consist of a single focus topic I chose the name Divers and Sundry where "Divers" means being of many and various kinds, and "Sundry" means consisting of a haphazard assortment of different kinds.

I just checked the page in Firefox, and it works there for me, so it's not your browser. I wish I could figure it out. It's a puzzle.
DeleteLoving your cup too-oldies with memories are the best! Happy T Kathy
ReplyDeleteI love having cups I've had for years that I remember buying someplace fun :)
Delete...and now we have fascism in the White House.
ReplyDeleteScary :( I wonder what Chicago will look like if trump takes his show on the road as he threatens, I remember '68.

DeleteI love your yellow mug! Happy T Day, Valerie
ReplyDeleteYellow is a cheerful color, isn't it!

ReplyDeleteI'm a news addict lol, but I need these bright yellow treats to help me bear it.
DeleteIt's definitely a new mug photo for me. But I must say I do like it. Hope it was a nice T day. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThanks! :)
DeleteI love the shape of your mug. It's quite deco-period or 40s in style, I think.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I like the shape :)
DeleteI do like your yellow mug, it's an unusual shape.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
The shape is why I bought it :)
