by Haynes King, who died on May 17 in 1904. After long months of ill-health he committed suicide ... at the Swiss Cottage station of the Metropolitan railway, London.
See those pretty cups on the table? That's my ticked to the weekly T Stands for Tuesday blogger gathering hosted by Bleubeard and Elizabeth at the Altered Book Lovers blog.

This is my patio after the rain on Sunday:
left, center, and right as I'm looking from the house.
...I'm afraid the we will be hearing about many suicides in the coming months.
ReplyDeleteawesome drink related painting-I Love that fireplace-I always dreamed of wanting a big fireplace set up for cooking in my home.
ReplyDeleteLove your atc's and we are still getting a bit of rain here Happy T wishes Kathy
Your Tweet ATC made me smile.I’ve been watching the birds coming to the feeder. Yesterday we saw a Baltimore Oriole 😮 Your patio space is beautiful. I would love to hang out there and sip iced tea. Proper ice tea, none of that sweet tea stuff. 😉 Enjoy your day
ReplyDeleteWonderful painting. I wonder why he chose Swiss cottage station? I was often there! You got plenty of rain! Happy T day, Valerie
ReplyDeletesuper collages on your ATCs- happy to see you creating them again! The painting is beautiful- I love the deep rich tones of color. Hope you get sunny days to enjoy your patio outside again. Happy T day!
ReplyDeleteHow desperate you must be to commit suicide under such circumstances.
ReplyDeleteI hope they allow a free, aided decision in Germany soon. Everywhere.
Even better: Being healthy and enjoying life, happy T-day!
So much beautiful detail in the painting, love her flowery skirt 😀. Such fabulous ATCs, the little bird caught my eye, tweet...lol 😉. I always love seeing your patio, it looks like a inviting place to enjoy my cuppa today - gorgeous! Happy T Tuesday! Take care! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteI am loving the ATC with the bird, so cute. And your patio has a lovely selection of plants. It looks like the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sunshine that we are finally getting.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tea Day,
Kate
That's a beautiful painting. So sad about the artist. He must have been desperate to take his life in such a public place. He sure knew how to paint.
ReplyDeleteYour ATCs are great. So glad you are making them again. My fav is the tweet.
What a mess you have on your patio. Much like the mess I have on mine after the rains, wind, and hail I got on Sunday. Sorry you have to deal with such a mess, but it's a beautiful spot to clean at least.
Thanks fr sharing the gorgeous painting, the ATCs, and your patio with us for T this Tuesday. I haven't brought my chiminea out yet, so that saved me with the hail at least.
That's not a mess lol! That's my preferred look. It doesn't get "clean"-er than this ;)
DeleteThat's a charming painting with a sad but true message, D.
ReplyDeleteLove the ATC goodies, especially the Tweet.
You got a good rain, didn't look? Your patio is very inviting.
Happy T-Day! Eileen xx
Those are pretty cups, so when you acquire some of them (ha-ha), I should like to have tea out on your patio. It is looking nice. And quite a good place to put you feet up with tea and a good book. And your AC's are fun. I really like the sometime after 600 BC. It lead to lots of thoughts. Hope it was a super T day. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteIts a lovely T day painting you find really interesting ones to share with us.
ReplyDeleteYour ATC 's all looked super as well, it was a cute bird.
Belated T day wishes.
Stay safe.
Yvonne xx
I am sure there is such a sweet smell after the rain ... your patio looks fresh & ready for another round of sitting.
ReplyDeleteI had been holding it together...until I read that title...just got an email an hour ago from my BFF from high school who's been in poor health for the last year telling me she's being released from the hospital tomorrow to her mother's care...that there is nothing else they can do and they give her a couple of weeks. Sorry. Not related to your post at all.
ReplyDeleteOh, I am so sorry :( My husband told me that was a depressing art title, and I said, "But look, she's making tea for two, so..." Hubby said, "That's not helping, you know." :(
DeleteThis is a beautiful painting, with a so sad end for the artist. Lovely cups on the painting table. I hope you spent a nice T-day, with rain! Your patio is lovely, I remember my mum had plants like you have at home, when I was a child, those in the centre, with big high and thin leaves.
ReplyDeleteYour ATC´s are espectacular, I loove them all. It´s so nice to see them again.
I wish you a very nice Wednesday, stay safe and well,
and big hugs, Caty
Nice assortment of ATC artwork. Your patio looks very green, despite the rain. Did you hear about the dams that broke in Michigan? Awful. Happy belated T-Day!
ReplyDeleteI didn't hear about that! How horrible!
DeleteLove the painting, it reminds me of my Grandmas house when I was little! Love seeing your ATCs. Your patio looks like a great place to relax and listen to the birds. I miss having an outdoor space of our own! Belated Happy T day, Chrisx
