Decision at Sundown

Decision at Sundown is a 1957 Randolph Scott western. Noah Beery and Andrew Duggan are also in this. Randolph Scott finds the man he blames for the death of his wife and for ruining his life, and he announces his intent to kill him.

You can watch the movie at Tubi TV or Daily Motion or via Youtube:

Senses of Cinema calls it "a brutal study of a Western hero’s retribution turned to psychotic obsession".

    1. It's a traditional 50s-era revenge western.

    1. Randolph Scott is always worth watching, the rest of the cast is good, too, and the revenge western is such a classic idea. I liked it, too :)

  5. Sounds very familiar. I remember as a kid that the Saturday matinee double header movies on TV often had "western" months. I saw a lot of westerns. They were very popular in the 50s and 60s. :)

    1. I had never heard of it before. There were a lot of westerns on tv when I was a child in the 60s, both tv and old movies, but I'm not sure I saw Randolph Scott 'til I was grown.
