ReplyDeleteI’ve always wanted to be able to paint, sadly I can’t draw either so I appreciate how talented many people are who can.
ReplyDeleteHappy T day, jan x
I've always enjoyed Matisse and his paintings. So glad you shared this beautiful blue pitcher with us and so glad you shared many more of his paintings, too. Thanks for this incredible art you gave us for T this Tuesday, dear.
ReplyDeleteTrue artists! It´s fun to see how art changes over time... Happy T-Day :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful painting! I love the colours in it.
ReplyDeleteArtist trading stamps are new to me too, it's interesting to work in such a small size for a change. Thanks for your visit.

thanks so much for sharing Matisse with us, and I agree with your comment-I like smaller coffee cups too so my coffee doesn't get cold-hugs Happy T Kathy

I wasn't a fan of Mattise, D. So I did some Googling and learned that I do like many of his Fauvist style paintings. So I looked into that and had an aha moment. I love impressionism. I learned that the Fauvists followed and started breaking away from impressionism. So I guess I like Matisse' earlier works. The wild bold colors later are too jarring to my eye.
ReplyDeleteSo thank you for the art lesson and the aha moment.
Happy T-day! Eileen xx
Oh I really like Matisse. AFter dinner I will go give it a watch. I do love the blue pitcher. It is pretty. And I wanted to mention my response to the question you asked in your comment on my blogg. No the vodka is not sweet, but it is made from sweet potatoes. I guess they have sweet potatoes and not yams like we do. Or at least that's what they call that but since I can't read Japanese I can't tell you any more than that. Hope it was a super T day and your weather isn't too cold. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThat's cool! I knew vodka could be made from different things, but I'd never heard of sweet potato. Thx!
DeleteHe lived to a good age didn't he.
ReplyDeleteI like Blue Pitcher.
