Coffee at Audubon Park Lake with The Husband:
There was a family of Mallard ducks, but I couldn't get a photo of them. There were several families of skittish geese, and I got a photo but not close up:
It is something I'm always thankful for that I live so close to such a pleasant park.
Back at home, my little patio has some buds:
is set up for hummingbirds:
and is ready for lemonade-drinking:
This year's chipmunk crop is a brave bunch:

The park looks like a nice spot, but nothing beats your own home. Your patio is a delightful oasis. Your chipmunk made me laugh. He is such a bold fella. Enjoy your day
ReplyDeleteThis year's chipmunks are fearless. That one came up behind me and looked up at me. It skittered away when I turned to take its photo but didn't go far. They own the patio lol
DeleteWhat a pretty park to wander about in. Your patio looks so inviting. It looks like I'll be buying a new humming bird feeder as I cannot find mine from last year. Your chippy friend is a cutie but then I do have a fondness for chipmunks how ever naughty they can be!
ReplyDeleteWhen we first moved here I declared war on the chipmunks. They dug down in every pot and ate all the bird food. It was a hopeless cause, though, and I have learned to love them.
DeleteBeautiful park-so nice that it is close by, I love to watch the chipmunks always so busy. I really miss not feeding the hummingbirds this year but I knew it would not be fair to them as they stay til mid September and would get dependant on the nectar for their families.
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday hugs Kathy
You can start attracting them at the new place. I hope they find you quickly :)
DeleteWhat a beautiful life! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHappy T-Day!

Fun is where you find it :)
DeleteThat is a beautiful park to have nearby to walk in. Your patio plants look great. The chipmunk is adorable.
ReplyDeleteThanks! It is a beautiful park. And a big one :)
DeleteElizabeth's power is off. She wants you to know that the TSFT post will be up as soon as she is back online. I will try to let rest know. Thank you!
ReplyDeletehappy t day
Thx! I appreciate the heads-up :) "Be Flexible" is my motto ;)
DeleteThe park is beautiful and I am quite fond of your little patio! It is nice to see flowers coming on your plants. I can tell you are much further south. Enjoy that glass of lemonade (which looks quite delicious) and enjoy those about to bloom plants while you sip and cool off. happy T day. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteHere in Memphis we're'll be getting highs in the 90s this week. That mint will get a workout garnishing the lemonade lol
DeleteSuch a pretty green park. Your own patio is even more inviting. I am jealous of your chipmunks! They are such characters. I remember visiting a campground in Minnesota where they would run right up your pants leg to get up on your shoulders if they saw you had food. I loved it! Even if they could be a little pesty they charm me with their bold personalities. I carried peanuts with me everywhere while I was there. :)
ReplyDeleteI'd be afraid they'd bite if they started climbing on me lol There are so many of them! I wonder what they call a group of chipmunks. hmmm A swarm? lol
DeleteThat's a beautiful park, it's always good to have greenery near by. Your patio and visitors look lovely. Valerie
ReplyDeleteYes, green spaces are so important, and I treasure the ones in our city.
DeleteSuch a beautiful park! Your photos are fabulous, I love this time of year when the trees are so green and the sun is shining 😊. Your patio looks amazing too, how lovely to get ready for hummingbirds visiting and the chipmunk is a cutie! Your homemade lemonade would be perfect right now, so refreshing! Wishing you a very happy T Day! Jo x
ReplyDeleteI have enjoyed the patio since we moved here. I find it such a manageable space :) I'm afraid the only thing handmade about my lemonade is the addition of the mint ;)
DeleteSorry I missed this post yesterday. Got caught off guard with no power before I could visit. Had to laugh at the geese. Ours are so bold they walk right up to you. People feed them and they NEVER leave.
ReplyDeleteI always LOVE seeing your patio. I really want mine to look that good, but it never will. Yours is a gem and I always love when you update us.
They can be quite aggressive but not when the goslings are in tow :) They seem to keep their distance then. The white ducks are the most insistent if you have food.
