Santa Claus Is Coming to Town

Santa Claus is Coming to Town is a 1970 Rankin Bass stop motion TV special. It was never one of my favorites, but the kids always liked it. Fred Astaire is the mail carrier/narrator who starts off the show by opening letters sent to Santa and reading them to us. Isn't opening someone else's mail illegal? The story is told, then, to answer common questions children ask, such as, "Why does Santa wear a red suit?" Mickey Rooney voices Santa. Keenan Wynn and Paul Frees are also in this. I'm surprised there's so little video available for something that's so popular.
