Marlowe (2022)

Marlowe (Amazon Prime) is a 2022 neo-noir crime thriller film based on the 2014 novel The Black-Eyed Blonde by John Banville. The film stars Liam Neeson as private detective Philip Marlowe, a fictional character created by Raymond Chandler, and features Diane Kruger, Jessica Lange, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Alan Cumming, Francois Arnaud, Ian Hart, Danny Huston, Daniela Melchior and Colm Meaney. Critics weren't kind, but I liked it. That said, it won't go on my re-watch list. Colm Meaney is always the bright spot in any movie he's in.

  3. This sounds really good. Now that our evening TV series have wrapped up for awhile (other than DR. Who), we've been looking for something new. We watched Bodkin on Netflix. and Irish mystery. With some laughs and interesting characters. You may like it Nita.

    1. I watched the first 2 episodes of Bodkin... I'm not sure what happened after that... I must've gotten distracted. I'm liking this Doctor!

    1. So many movies, but it's hard to find the ones worthy of the time spent.

  5. Well, I've never heard of this film!
Of course I know the character of Philip Marlowe, but I didn't know about this film adaptation with Liam Neeson & Co. The trailer looks interesting!
All the best and a good start into the new week, Traude

  6. I watched this because I will watch anything with Liam Neeson in it--lol! Had several other good actors in it, too. Liam is 71 so I keep wondering when he will slow down in the movies to not as many action films--lol! Although I did just watch one from 2020 where he didn't play an action guy. "Made in Italy"...and his real life son played his son in the movie. I liked it. Not his usual. :)
