Juliet of the Spirits is a 1965 Italian-French fantasy comedy-drama film. This was Federico Fellini's first feature length color film, and the color is gorgeous. I found it on HBO Max.
trailer:
Empire Online calls it "an intriguing film". DVD Talk calls it "a lulu of visual overkill". Roger Ebert considers it a Great Movie. It's included in the book "1,001 Movies You Must See Before You Die".

...Federico Fellini is a name that I recognize.
ReplyDeleteI've seen a few of his films.
DeleteHopefully, HBOMax will run another free weekend
ReplyDeleteThey don't even offer a free trial any more, but we haven't regretted our subscription.
DeleteUh, boy, I´m all dizzy, how fun is that trailer!
ReplyDeleteIt's a trip :)
DeleteGosh, I wish I had HBO and HBO Max. This sounds good.
ReplyDeleteWe got HBO Max to watch something specific and then kept finding other things we wanted to watch.
DeleteI saw this years ago in film class. It was wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to hear a film class discussion on it.
DeleteA lulu of visual overkill... I like that!
ReplyDeleteFilm reviews can be such fun to read!
DeleteNot heard of this, thanks for sharing the trailer.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
I was glad to find it.
DeleteThis sounds like it is worth the watch. My HBO 6 months for $&.95 expires tomorrow, but I think I'll keep it another month as there are a few things I still need to watch. Thanks for the recommendation Nita.
ReplyDeleteWe keep meaning to let it go, but we keep finding things we want to watch first lol
DeleteAdded to my list--LOL!
ReplyDeleteIt's very colorful!
