Chimes at Midnight is a 1965 film based on the Shakespeare figure Falstaff. It is directed by Orson Welles and stars Orson Welles, Jeanne Moreau, Margaret Rutherford, and John Gielgud. Regarded as one of Welles' highest achievements, Welles himself called it his best work. I found it on HBO Max.

Roger Ebert called it "a brilliant tribute to Falstaff". Rotten Tomatoes has a critics consensus score of 96%.
Sounds like a great Shakespeare adaption and who can go wrong with Orson Wells, I really like Margaret Rutherford too (smile!). Happy T Tuesday! Hugs Jo x
All brilliant actors. I love both Jeanne Moreau and Margaret Rutherford. Of course John Gielgud is legendary, as is Orson Welles. Cheers! I'll drink to that! Happy T-Day, Hugs, Lisca
I have no HBO and am not familiar with Shakespeare. However, I will gladly raise a glass to this film you have given us for T this Tuesday, dear friend.
