  3. I should check this out. Both the story and the film. Shirley Jackson is a great writer, but I don't know this particulary story. Thanks for the suggestion.

    1. The psychological horror films are a nice change from all the gore there was in -what was it- the 80s?

  12. I watched this last night on Roku Tubi TV. For whatever reason, probably based on the image of the two women shown above for this, I was expecting a supernatural story. This movie was okay, but I found it a bit on the bizarre side, and ultimately thought it was a depressing story, when it reached its conclusion. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't my type of movie, so I would've skipped it, had I known what it would be like. (I don't like watching trailers / reading descriptions, because usually they give away too much of the movie, and then there is no suspense for me, when I watch the actual movie.)

    1. It's really more mystery than horror, though I think it has an eerie feel to it. I love Shirley Jackson's work. You might like the book better.
