The Mist

The Mist is a 2007 horror film based on a Stephen King book. Thomas Jane stars. Wikipedia says, "an unnatural mist envelops the town and conceals vicious, Lovecraftian monsters as extreme tensions rise among the survivors."

Screenrant says, "The Mist's ending is still one of the most shocking final scenes ever featured in a movie." Empire Online says it is "is one of the best horror movies of the last few years."

  5. Stephen King is a great writer. I've enjoyed many of his books. I can't say I've seen too many of his movies though. Somehow seeing versus reading (and imagining)-I can always make the reading just a bit less scary! Hugs-Erika

  6. One of my all time favorites. When I first saw it I instantly fell in love with all of the character and Gay Harden is one of my favorite actresses. However, the series doesn't do it for me. I think once I read the book and then see the movie I can't connect to the people in the series.

    1. I haven't read the book or seen others in the series. Sometimes the casting is so perfect I can't see the characters any other way. It may depend on whether I read the book before seeing the movie.

  11. I'm not sure if I saw this, or a mini-series type thing that was made based on the same book. The mini-series one was good, but I recall being a little confused by the ending. I'll look for this one on the Roku.
