The Lady Confesses

The Lady Confesses is a 1945 film noir starring Hugh Beaumont. What's a gal to do when her husband-to-be's dead wife turns up very much alive?

On a lighter note, I offer Tea Time (1911):

by Helen Galloway McNicoll, who died on June 27, 1915, at the age of 35. Please join me for a cuppa at the weekly T Stands for Tuesday blogger gathering.

  2. This movie sounds like a classic love triangle... there's so many of the old black & whites build a story around a dead wife but not dead. I wonder how many are with a dead husband ...

I like the painting, a lovely place to sit with a cup of tea & read the classic dead wife story; Wuthering Heights

  4. What a lovely painting. I'd love to sit in that garden. I thought this artist had died recently, but when I googled I found that she died in 1915!
Wishing you a very happy T-Day,
Hugs (These ones are allowed, but oh I so crave real hugs),

  14. Please forgive me for visiting so late. Once my "good" eye, which is really my bad eye gets tired, I know it's time to rest it. I hope you understand. I hope to see the love triangle film you shared, but right now, I'm pacing myself. I DO love that painting and had never heard of Helen Galloway McNicoll, although I really LOVE impressionist painters and am surprised I've not heard of her before. Thanks for sharing the film and that lovely painting by McNicoll with us for T on Tuesday.

  16. Ward Clever as a bad guy--goodness! And seeing him drunk--made me chuckle. He did it well, though. :)
