The Sin of Nora Moran

The Sin of Nora Moran is a 1933 pre-code film about a young woman sentenced to the electric chair for a murder she didn't commit. It's just over an hour long.

  1. I just read the synopsis. Didn't think I would like the story, but it does sound like a good one.

    1. I watched it because it was a pre-code film, and that movie poster was done by Alberto Vargas and I was familiar with his style so recognized it as his. It was named one of "The 25 Best Movie Posters Ever".

  3. I wonder if this is something my aunt used to like to watch on the tv reruns when I was a kid. She always had these jail or murder films on when she would babysit me. Now my aunt was a lovely woman, but she did like those film types. happy Saturday once again. hugs-Erika

    1. Those old films noir are exactly the thing that used to be shown in the old movie time blocks. Those and the old schlocky horror movies. My intro to old movies when I was a child lol

    1. The poster was my main draw, but the pre-code movies had some depth and bite to them.

  5. Talk about delving into mental health and self-sacrifice--LOL! The fighting with the lion almost made me quit in the beginning, but I shouldered on. ;)

    1. I just sometimes want to take some of these characters aside and say, "No! Don't _do_ that!"
