The Curse of the Doll People is a 1961 Mexican horror film. The special effects in this are wonderful. The masks the "doll people" wear are very creepy.
DVD Talk calls it "surprisingly good" and "surprising and effective in several respects". Horrorpedia has screen shots

I'm not into horror but dolls can be quite scary even if they are not meant to be. I bet this makes the film quite scary. Happy Sunday.
ReplyDeleteThose masks! Very creepy!
DeleteMaybe a go this afternoon while waiting for the snow to turn to rain
ReplyDeleteToday we have sunshine and a predicted high of 71! I think I'll go to the park lol The rain comes back tomorrow and will last the rest of the week. Such a wet winter :(
DeleteI also find some dolls very creepy. They specifically seem to come out at Halloween.
ReplyDeleteIt's dry here, but cold and very windy. I see you were under tornado and flood warnings for awhile earlier this weekend.
Yes, we had loud thunderstorms and heavy rain, but the tornadoes missed us. The river has crested and started back down, but we're up on a bluff here so it takes a lot to flood. Today's the prettiest day in forever lol
DeleteI find all dolls creepy, so this sounds really scary. I have a friend whose whole house is full of vintage dolls, I have to close my eyes when I'm there. Valerie
ReplyDeleteToo many dolls is just too many lol I don't mind a few in general or a room-full in the case of a child, but I do think they're a bit creepy when gathered in groups and used as decoration.
