Command Performance is a 2009 Dolph Lundgrun film, where many explosions happen, the good guys win, and the bad guys die horrible deaths. Dolph Lungrun isn't my favorite action star, but I'm not complainin'. This is fun, mindless entertainment, and when the weather is unseasonably cold and I can't remember the last time I saw sunshine, this fits the bill. If you wanted more than that, you wouldn't be watching a Dolph Lundgrun film.

Rotten Tomatoes doesn't have a critics score, and the audience score is just 32%.
Ah, Dolph/Hasse. He is too clever for Hollywood. He came to the US on scholarships, to places like MIT, he was a very clever and promising engineer. Should have been a scientist, solving the world´s energy crisis or something. And then Grace Jones saw him... Funnily enough, we saw him last night in "The expendables". It´s the first time we have seen a movie with Sylvester Stallone´s new face. That was more interesting than the plot...
ReplyDeletemy younger son picks up dolph lundgrun movies whenever he comes across them. he's not a brilliant actor, and he isn't as fun for me to watch as some of the other action stars, but he enjoys them.
ReplyDeletei saw the expendables back in august. it's fun to see them try to lengthen these guys' careers. bruce willis had a cameo in that one. i think they're making a sequel.
i guess it's too late for lungrun to return to engineering now that he's made his fortune.

ReplyDeletehmmm, in case that's murky: i think _lungrun_ isn't a brilliant actor, and my son enjoys lungrun's films. lol
They have already made a sequel. They have announced a third! Also, our old fat-screen tv probably isn´t the best vehicle of action flicks...
ReplyDeleteoh dear! lol i'm definitely behind the times.
