Goke: Body Snatcher from Hell

Goke: Body Snatcher from Hell is a 1968 Japanese horror film that has no Goke, no body snatcher, and no hell. What it does have is a hit-you-over-the-head anti-war message. I wish I could find something positive to say about it. Oh, wait, there's a theremin in the sound track. That's always a good thing. Tarantino named this film as an influence on Kill Bill.

DVD Talk says, "director Hajime Sato sets about successfully transcending most of the limitations set by his small budget" and
if Goke: Bodysnatcher from Hell is to be remembered for anything, it should be its quite amazing final ten minutes: ten minutes which represent what is possibly the most shocking and truly frightening finale ever featured in a Science Fiction film.
1000 Misspent Hours gives it 3 1/2 stars and recommends it. Rotten Tomatoes only has 3 critic reviews, and they are all positive.
