I'm going down to Memphis
Memphis, Tennessee
I'm going down to Graceland
Thinking about the King
Remembering him sing
'Bout those heavenly mansions
Jesus mentioned
...Warren Zevon was an interesting character.
ReplyDeleteWasn't he though!
DeleteA strange and haunting tune. Elvis was a little bit before my time. I was the perfect age for the Beatles, though. ;)
ReplyDeleteI remember Elvis from as far back as the mid-60s when the Beatles first came here.
DeleteOh, I remember Elvis and he was popular, but I wasn't of the age to be one of the devoted Elvis fans, I guess. But I was a devoted Beatles fan. Not a screamer, though. lol!
DeleteBeing here in Memphis I was aware of him from early childhood. We would here about where he had gone and what he was doing while he was in town.
DeleteI like Warren Zevon. He has some interesting songs.
ReplyDeleteThought-provoking, wasn't he!
DeleteI like the double entendre. I'm glad Elivs is still on the second floor of Graceland.
ReplyDeleteSo far...
