Route 64 Diner
We went to the Route 64 Diner in Bolivar, TN, to celebrate the 4th of July. The property has a couple of gazebos outside with picnic tables:
but it was a bit hot for that, so we went inside to eat. The interior is adorable:
You order at a counter, and the food is brought to the table. I had the regular hamburger, onion rings, and a coke. Delicious!
The menu is online here. Between that delightful experience and the #SecondCivilWarLetters, it was such a fun day!

OH onion rings in batter - I am drooling at the very thought. That diner looks quite charming.
ReplyDeleteIt has a lot to offer -charming, inexpensive... The food is tasty, and mine was the smaller of the two burger sizes. You can't go wrong here. I'd have a hard time not ordering this same thing if I went back, but I'd love to try their other food, too.
DeleteI can't believe the cost of their regular hamburgers. It appears they are cheaper and healthier looking than anything McDonald's could ever sell. Sounds like an absolutely PERFECT day.
ReplyDeleteThe price was right, definitely! This was a real find :)
DeleteWhat a cute place! Looks like they have exccellent food, too. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, delicious :) It takes short-order to a whole 'nother level.

ReplyDeleteThis was my husband's pick based on the recommendation of locals who know. We'll take their word for restaurant options anytime :)
DeleteThat looks yummy. My kind of meal. Especially since you had onion rings instead of fries. Mmm. That is a cute little restaurant. I do like to try local places. Hope all has been well. Hugs erika
