ReplyDeleteThanks for the fun and funky cuppa coffee this morning.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your visit to my Magpie's Nest too.
Happy T Day
and Happy February oxo
I love the funky, slow hard rock sound this band has. I also LOVE how they used their sound board instead of their faces in their video. I've never seen that before, but it is really clever, and rather mesmerizing. This band has my approval. Far more enjoyable than listening to Elvis (YEP, I running and ducking as you throw that coffee cup at me)!
ReplyDeleteI was never a big Elvis fan, but I hafta stand up for a home-town boy ;) He loved Memphis, so I feel like I should return the favor ;)
DeleteI know you've been following this Google thing, and you have asked about GFriends. Here is even worse news I read at one of my British friend's blogs just now:
ReplyDelete_________________________________________________________________
And whilst I'm being cynical, so to Google. They have reminded me that as owners of Blogger and Google Friends Connect and Google+ (and who knows what else) that they can control who comments on my blog. And they are going to change it up so that you can only comment if you have a Google+ account. They say this will improve everything for everyone and will even increase my comment numbers. Of course it won't. Having a Google+ account means that like it or not, you are given a gmail account and are fully absorbed into the Google culture. It may not be for you, and hey, it'll just save you comment time on this and countless other blogs. Well, these badly disguised ways at making people do things that they don't want to makes me really mad. So.....I've opened an account with Wordpress, and for now, will run the two blogs. They will have exactly the same articles on them, I just want to see if the going is any easier over there. I know that you have to register to comment, but that's all. Wordpress don't then dictate that you join an imaginery friends circle, they don't force you to use their email account, etc. We'll see. You be the judge.
________________________________________________
I didn't think it had anything to do with anything except who could comment, but now I'm reading you must be a G+ blogger to leave comments on any blog. Please let me know if you've heard or read that. I am sick, because I will NOT join G+, PERIOD. But I have no idea how to move my blog to a new platform, either.
I have a google+ account I never use. I understand they want folks to move there from Facebook, but since nobody's done that yet nobody I know is there. I have several gmail accounts lol, and I don't mind using them to comment on blogs. I don't like the idea of requiring one to comment on blogger. I'll keep an eye out for that. I have a Wordpress blog I tried for a while, and I guess I can move there if blogger gets too difficult. I've made a few contacts I do not want to lose. Like you :)
DeleteI do know you can link your blogger blog and google+ so that comments on google+ appear on the blogger blog. If you do that you have to have a google+ account to comment on the google+ site. There's some info on that here: https://support.google.com/blogger/answer/1752748?hl=en We're seeing problems with that when folks link up to a google+ post that requires google+ account to comment. It hasn't affected the blogger blogs that aren't linked to google+ in that way.
Deletewow, fantastic Music, thanks for the link.
