Starman

Starman is a 1984 John Carpenter science fiction film starring Jeff Bridges and Karen Allen. Robert Phalen (who plays Susan Ivanova's dad on Babylon 5) plays a bad guy from the federal government. The police officers in this film are uniformly bad guys. Our DVD has no special features to speak of.

SciFi.com says, "Starman is a successful film on a number of fronts." Roger Ebert calls it "one of 1984's more touching love stories." Moria says, "It could be called an E.T. with adult, more complex emotions." The New York Times says that the film is "a fine showcase for the actor's [Bridges] blend of grace, precision and seemingly offhanded charm."
