    My mom had every musical variety show on over Christmas. Brings back memories. :)
    (These guys' kids never made it as big as they would have liked them to, though.)

      Those iconic performers were real stars. The kids had talent but just couldn't reach the same star level.

    We didn't have a TV when I was growing up. The day I graduated from high school, my grandfather bought a TV.

      We had a b&w tv in a cabinet case with doors. The color tv came much, much later and only after the old one could no longer be repaired. Mother and Daddy kept the old cabinet and put it in the dining room. My sister has it now.
