My mom had every musical variety show on over Christmas. Brings back memories. :) (These guys' kids never made it as big as they would have liked them to, though.)
We had a b&w tv in a cabinet case with doors. The color tv came much, much later and only after the old one could no longer be repaired. Mother and Daddy kept the old cabinet and put it in the dining room. My sister has it now.
Because this blog does not consist of a single focus topic I chose the name Divers and Sundry where "Divers" means being of many and various kinds, and "Sundry" means consisting of a haphazard assortment of different kinds.
...today's Christmas shows are never as good as this.
ReplyDeleteThere used to be so many of them. I'm having trouble finding new ones now.

Those iconic performers were real stars. The kids had talent but just couldn't reach the same star level.

DeleteWe didn't have a TV when I was growing up. The day I graduated from high school, my grandfather bought a TV.
