My mom also loved Lawrence Welk but I was never a fan of that show for some reason. Was super popular for many, many years in Minnesota. They played repeats every week. This is one I will pass on--lol! ;)
Now that was fun. I liked the three guys in the green jackets dancing with Lawrence playing the little puppet man. A truly wholesome Christmas celebration ... I don't think anyone could be offended (& please I'm not putting out the challenge!) :)
My family just loved Lawrence Welk. I remember as a kid when I slept over my Nana's house I'd have to take my bath before 7 PM when the show came on. I never cared for it, but I always had to watch it. Thanks for the fond memories with today's post.
My PBS station has him on every Saturday night. I met his nephew who lives here in Wichita. I've never been a big fan of his band, but I can appreciate his staying power.
Because this blog does not consist of a single focus topic I chose the name Divers and Sundry where "Divers" means being of many and various kinds, and "Sundry" means consisting of a haphazard assortment of different kinds.
