The Bat (1959)

The Bat is a 1959 mystery thriller starring Vincent Price and Agnes Moorehead. Those two actors ought to make it worth your while to check out. This is the fourth film adaptation of the story. I watched it on Tubi, but it's widely available including on YouTube:

1000 Misspent Hours has a lengthy plot description.

  1. I really want to see this, but I don't have time to devote to it at the moment. I'll watch it when I am not in catch up mode.

    1. Not a classic, by any means, but fun enough if you want to watch it. Don't feel like you hafta keep your eye glued to the screen. I often do other things while I watch English-language movies.

  2. I want to check this one out. I can't find my box of vintage monster movies that I am "dying" to watch again. That is a grrr, but I am glad you suggested this one as I love Vincent Price and Agnes Moorehead. You can't go wrong with either of them. Happy Sunday. hugs-Erika

    1. I forget what streaming services you have access to, but we've also gotten into the habit of keeping DVDs around. So many times they come and go on the streaming services.

  5. Even though I'm not big on this kind of movie, I can never resist Vincent Price -- Aggie M. makes it all the more enticing!

    1. They used to make more of these small mystery/thrillers. They're a fun option when you want a bit of mystery without any gore.
