Let Me In (2010)

Let Me In is the 2010 American remake of the excellent 2008 Swedish film Let the Right One In. This is a pretty straight re-make. I watched it on Hulu, but it's free on Tubi.

trailer:

The Hollywood Reporter says, ""Let Me In" achieves the rare feat of remaining rigorously reverential to its source material while emerging as a highly accomplished work in its own right. " Time Out gives it high marks and says, "perhaps the new film’s greatest coup is that it refuses to romanticise childhood loneliness". Roger Ebert's site has a positive review. Rotten Tomatoes has a critics consensus score of 88%.

  1. That's a nice sturdy looking mug. I think in spite of all the ways to connect, we as a society are lonelier than ever. The pre-teens & teens felt it during the 2 year Great Pause (aka the pandemic).

  4. This movie sounds interesting. And I love your mug. This one Is one I would love to have my tea in, on your garden patio of course. Smile You haven't shared any views lately. I do notice some flowers still in bloom. Of course it depends when you took the photo. Have a great rest of your T day Nita. hugs-Erika

  5. I've read that teens and pre-teens are lonelier now and show less social skills due to being isolated for so long. It's even worse for black, Asian, and Latino children. How incredibly sad.

Your mug is beautiful. I see your patio, which I envy, still has color. What a great shot. Thanks for sharing this sad film and your lovely mug of coffee with us for T this Tuesday, dear friend.

Errmm! I think the trailer was enough for me (I'm such a wimp!) I love suspense films but supernatural films are quite a different matter! I do love your mug though ! Belated Happy T Day, , hugs, (pearshaped) Chrisxx
