Artist Trading Card: Wikipedia link "Artist trading cards (ATCs) is a conceptual art project initiated by the Swiss artist M. Vänçi Stirnemann in 1997. He called it a Collaborative Cultural Performance. Artist trading cards are 2 1⁄2 by 3 1⁄2 inches (64 mm × 89 mm) in size, the same format as modern trading cards (hockey cards or baseball cards). They are self-made unique works or small series, signed and dated on the reverse by the artist/producer, exchanged and collected by the people who participate in the collaborative performance."
Here's the question from the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: "The Ultimate Question is the actual inquiry behind the Ultimate Answer to Life, The Universe, and Everything. The Ultimate Question was sought after the supercomputer Deep Thought revealed the Ultimate Answer to be 42."
I found this & immediately thought of you. "Douglas Adams was a computer nerd & knew a lot about programming language & coding. In coding an asterisk is used to stand for "what ever you like" In ASCII language, a basic computer language, 42 is designated as an asterisk. So Deep Thought, a computer, answers with 42 = what ever you like.
Because this blog does not consist of a single focus topic I chose the name Divers and Sundry where "Divers" means being of many and various kinds, and "Sundry" means consisting of a haphazard assortment of different kinds.
...and ATC is?

ReplyDeleteI've seen t-shirts. So cool!

ReplyDeleteikr?!
DeleteI wouldn't have known how to answer the question! I was thinking 42 was the 42nd president or your street number!
ReplyDeleteI think I have a president #42 pre-scheduled for in case I run out of ones I can photograph. A 42nd state, too, iirc lol
