The Vampire of the Opera is a 1964 Italian horror film. A dance company rents a theater in spite of the warnings of the long-time caretaker. The scantily clad dancers frolic and laugh and scream. The choreography and music are interesting. It's not the usual interpretation of the vampire myth.

Was it any good? Worth watch?
ReplyDeleteWith "ifs", yes it was. I am particularly fond of vampire movies, and I enjoy seeing ones like this one where they take a bit of a different approach.
Delete...should I wear my garlic?
ReplyDeleteYes!
DeleteA comedy?
ReplyDeleteNo, not at all. More a period piece. '60s Italian horror is its own thing.
DeleteI love this film. I am a huge horror movie watcher old and new.
ReplyDeleteAren't they fun?!
DeleteI am using my neighbor Sally's computer, so I must keep this brief. My internet appears to be fine, but my power supply cord has gone bad, at least that is what my computer guru friend Scott thinks. He will try to get a new one for me in town on Monday. If not, he will buy one at Amazon. Just wanted to let you know why I'm late visiting.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had time to watch this, but it's obvious that's not going to happen until I get my computer running again.
I hope you have your computer back and running soon!
DeleteThe plot sounds a bit different for the normal horror movies 😉. Take care! Hugs, Jo x
