H2O
H2O is the second American art film, a 1929 short film by Ralph Steiner.
I'll be linking to the weekly T Stands for Tuesday blogger gathering hosted by Bleubeard and Elizabeth. The subject of this little film is water and serves as my entry to the party, where a drink reference is required. Water is always my drink of choice. I keep a glass close at hand.

...where would we be without it.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, you find the the most interesting films to share-thanks
ReplyDeleteGood theme for the day. I try to drink more water. Hopefully Storm Ted won't drop too much water on the east coast. Happy Tuesday, Happy Autumn.
ReplyDeleteA fascinating little video. Very artistic. This is a nice and unique post for T this week! Hope your day is happy and happy autumn too. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteWater is good, coffee is better. Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteI enjoy the short films you find. But after this one, I need to wee! 😺
ReplyDeleteInteresting video! I agree with Valerie - coffee is better! LOL!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing
ReplyDeleteThe amazing thing is that with today's capacity for making films of anything anywhere with the tiniest little device, we still would be challenged to create a video this imaginative! Can you imagine what they had to do to film this in 1929?
ReplyDeleteNeat idea to post this.

The video is fascinating, a lovely way to focus on water! I like the way the energy of the water flows from frantic to calming 😀. I'm drinking water at the moment too. Thanks for sharing and Happy T Tuesday! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteGosh, I think I need to pee!!! 🤣 Beautifully done.
ReplyDeleteA film about water! Perfect for T-Day. Thanks for sharing, I just had a look at it. Amazing. Do you think the music is the original sound track, or did they not have sound tracks in 1929... I think not actually.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
Happy T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca
He is a modern composer: https://www.willpearsonmusic.com/info You're right that films that old were silents (The first "talkie" was in the late 20s, I think) and any music was played live during screenings of the films. Sometimes I'll see theaters offering them that way as special performances. That'd be fun.
DeleteI actually found this fascinating. All that was missing was the sounds of real water. :)
ReplyDeleteWow you are so cleaver with this post. I too am a water drinker hot or cold. I wanted to let you know that I am enjoying your post very much and I am so glad I found you. Enjoy your day.
ReplyDeleteI try to drink water. I even keep it near for during the night. And first thing in the morning I drink water. Happy T Day, very late.
