Sunset Boulevard

The last of the film noir we'll be watching for a while, Sunset Boulevard is a 1950 film starring William Holden and Gloria Swanson. This film is #17 on the AFI Top 100 list and #1 on the IMDB list of top film noir. I watched it recently and wrote a bit about it here.

trailer:

Roger Ebert calls it a "great movie" and "the best drama ever made about the movies ". In their 1950 review, Variety notes the acting: "Performances by the entire cast, and particularly William Holden and Gloria Swanson, are exceptionally fine."
