  2. This sounds like something I would enjoy. Too bad I don't get HBO max. I'm always into politics around voting time.

    1. I'm always into politics ;) Trump is urging his supporters to bring down the government and install him as president. Yikes!

    2. Biden is on the political trail and his polling numbers are increasing. Of course, since so much of the country is in favor of Roe remaining and against assault rifles, the dems may actually be able to keep both the senate and the house this November. I had to laugh when "lipstick on a pig" Palin was defeated. She is the pig in my opinion.

    3. I still haven't listened to Biden's speech but am glad he's getting out there. There are election-deniers actually winning out there. It's scary :( And trump's behavior hasn't changed but looks more and more despicable as time goes on. I was pleased Palin didn't win. I think she's one of the main reasons McCain didn't do better. That pick showed very poor judgment.

    4. I agree about McCain's poor choice of a running mate. However, I wonder how good Harris's marks will be in the end. She may have broken the glass ceiling, but she hasn't done much else. At least not to impress me.

The guy who scares me is DeSantis. He is starting at the bottom by campaigning for 30 school board hopefuls. 20 of the 30 won their primaries. Not only is he going after the children in FL, he is rallying senior citizens. I can't believe how many elderly republicans there are in that state. The seniors seem to love him and I can't understand why.

    5. Paling was a fruitcake with so little relevant experience it wasn't enough to count. She turned out to be more of a sideshow distraction than a support for McCain. At least Harris is a serious support. But I agree that she hasn't got much to show for her time. I'm wondering how much of that is her and how much is administration good-old-boy just not letting her "in".

De Santis is truly scary. My son favors a maximum voting age to book-end the minimum voting age, and I swear sometimes I'm tempted to agree with him. That people buy what DeSantis is selling is disappointing.People like him are winning across the country. The continuation of election denial is stunning to me. Trump has irreparable damaged our country from top to bottom :(

    6. Biden put Harris in charge of the Wall/immigration border crossing, and to my knowledge, she only visited there once. He also put her in charge of voting rights, The Biden administration keeps trying to give her something to do, but she keeps balking at the opportunity. She complains about being "sidelined" by the White House and complains when they give her a job she doesn't want to do, such as handling the border crisis, and now the abortion issue. No one, not even her staff, wants to think she might want to run for President in 2024.

De Santis against Harris in 2024 would be as disastrous at Trump against Clinton in 2016.

    7. Yes, I have no interest in seeing her as a presidential candidate. I haven't actually been keeping up with her, and from what you say I'm understanding how that was so easy. What a shame. The opportunity was a solid one.

    8. You are right. she had the opportunity, but all she wants to do is whine. That's why you haven't heard much about her. She gets no air time because of her whining.

    9. This is disappointing. Deeply disappointing. If things had been different Biden could've cemented his legacy by supporting her in a presidential bid. I doubt that'll ever happen at this point.

    10. You are absolutely correct. I never liked her for VP in the first place. I was hoping he would pick Stacy Abrams, who was one he considered. I guess he didn't feel she had enough experience on the world stage, which Harris seemed to have. Now I suspect he is sorry he picked her.

    11. Abrams would've been more of a lightening rod, I think. I love her, but I'm sure he was looking for a less controversial figure.

    12. Gosh. I have never thought of Abrams as a controversial figure. Guess I should look at her in a different light. I know she is good at talking and giving great speeches.

    13. She was endorsed by Bernie Sanders in her 2018 primary, which I liked but which didn't suit some. Her language after she lost the general election (that the election was not fair, that it was stolen, etc.) and her refusal to concede was seen by many as poor sportsmanship. We'll see how her election goes in November, but last I saw she was behind by 8 points in the polling and there's doubt she can broaden her appeal beyond a solid Democratic base.

On the other hand, she plays the President in Star Trek: Discovery ;) Just one episode, but still... lol

    14. OK. I had NO idea she refused to concede. That changes my mind about Abrams. Even though I have never been (and never will be) a fan of Hilary, I give her high marks for quickly and graciously conceding after her loss.

Now THAT was a steal. We need to change the way we elect our presidents, the highest office in the land.

    15. There were problems with the Georgia election no doubt, but still, I was disappointed she didn't concede. The courts ruled. That's got to count for something... Although, in these days of the trump judge takeover of our judicial system from top to bottom I may have to reconsider that view. The latest decision on the trump special master by the trump-appointed judge is a despicable piece of work. The appeal seems masterful. Have you looked at the history of that judge. Her appointment is just another example of how thia has always been about the judges.

    16. I know Cannon's a conservative and belongs to some Federalist group. I also know she clerked for some judge Trump considered for the Supreme Court, but that's really all I know about her background. I heard she was not especially fond of the government, which could have swayed her decision to appoint a Special Master.

    17. You don't know much about her background, because there's precious little relevant background to know :( I'm not sure how she rose to be noticed by Rubio, who pushed her for the position, but her level of experience is slight. She's a long-time Federalist Society member and a trump loyalist
