  1. I had to look up Soucoup as I didn't learn that word in high school French. Or maybe I did and just didn't pay attention. The painting is amazing as it almost looks like a photograph. The reflections on the vase, and the teacup and spoon look so real. Happy T Day

  4. This is so lovely. I am always impressed how artists use oil paints and can actually make water look like water-(in the vase that is). Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful T day Nita. hugs-Erika

  12. Henri Fantin-Latour is a favorite painter of mine. Although I don't believe we have any of his still life art in the Wichita Art Museum, I remember his works from when I lived in the Kansas City area and his paintings I have seen in several art galleries in the states. This is stunning. Thanks for sharing Fantin-Latour and his coffee cup with us for T this Tuesday, dear Nita.

  19. When you see beauty like this it's easy to appreciate why still life has been a favourite subject as long as there have been artists.
