With its variety of camera angles, expressive mise en scène and carefully designed movement, it has claims to be not only an accomplished work in its own right but one that anticipates the dark moral complexities that would fully emerge in Peckinpah’s later films.I watched it on HBO Max.

I usually have a cup of coffee (always strong without whiteners or sweeteners), but today I'm having a cup of Constant Comment tea:
Please share a post with a drink in it and join me at the T Stands for Tuesday blogger gathering.
That is a film I have actually seen, wow! Happy T Day, Valerie
ReplyDeleteCoffee, black, sounds like cowboy coffee. Constant Comment was my MIL's favorite tea. Happy T Day
ReplyDelete...westerns have always been a popular genre.
ReplyDeleteNot my favorite genre, but a good cast.
ReplyDeleteRandolph Scott was a great actor and well known for his westerns, I seem to remember reading somewhere that he did over 60 westerns throughout his career 😊. Happy T Tuesday! Hugs Jo x
ReplyDeleteI too watched so many Westerns growing up that I am still sick of them. Hubby likes them and I begrudgingly watch if I have too, but not by choice.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tea Day,
Kate
Happy T-day dear friend ! Hope you are fine, as your family too.
ReplyDeleteI haven´t seen this film, it may be goo.
I looove your cup of tea.
Wish you a great week
Big hugs, Caty
I'm not a big fan of western movies. However, I watched "The Man in the Hat" that you wrote about last week - a bit odd, but I loved it.
ReplyDeleteI also have seen this western. Like you, I have never been a fan of westerns, but I do remember this one. I LOVE Constant Comment tea. they have such lovely flavors. That's a beautiful cup and saucer, too. Thanks for sharing the film and tea with us for T this Tuesday, dear Nita. Sorry I have been MIA. Hope you got the message of why I haven't been around.
ReplyDeleteWesterns make me think of my Dad. He loved them, and I used to watch them with him. I don't remember most of the shows/movies we watched, but they still make me think of Dad. Hope it was a nice T day Nita.
ReplyDeleteI haven't had Constant Comment in 30 years - brings back memories as my parents liked it. Randolp Scott was so talented. Hubby watches every western every chance he can get and also war movies. I am not a huge fan of them but they are growing on me...lol. Happy T-day a bit late. Hugz
ReplyDeleteMy Dad used to love Westerns and would take me to the cinema regularly! I'm sure I have seen this film. I love a good saloon scene! Belated Happy T Day, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteWesterns make me think of my ex, who loved westerns. We lived in Italy then and a lot of westerns were filmed there. Bud Spencer and Terrence Hill were hugely popular.
ReplyDeleteHappy belated T-Day,
Keep smiling,
Hugs,
Lisca
I probably have seen this one since my dad loved westerns and there did seem to be a lot of them on tv, but Randolph Scott was not a favourite in our house lol. So sorry, RL got in the way, and I am terribly late. Happy T Day! Elle/EOTC xx
