I do eat a lot of fruit and was arranging a bowl yesterday to photograph and share here when it came to my attention that yesterday was National Homemade Cookie Day. So I did this instead:
I ate some while being serenaded by one of the members of our resident Chipmunk Horde:
I've been sitting on the patio lately wondering why it's still so hot.
It's never cold here in September and early October, but we're still getting highs in the upper 80s.

Himself was advised to try a Keto diet and so I wouldn't be a short-order cook, I'm following along with him. Keto is no sugar, no carbs. So fruit and especially those delicious peanut butter cookies are off limits. I think the chipmunk was begging for a cookie or two. I'd love to come and sit on your patio and sip some tea though with your warm temps. maybe iced tea. Happy T Day
ReplyDeletewe are back to summer temps here too ugh I just hope we don't miss fall if it goes right into winter here that would be a bummer. I love peanut butter cookies. chipmunks are so cute aren't they? Happy T
ReplyDeleteHere we have the cold temperatures now - under zero in the nights already! Love how quick it left the chair!
ReplyDeleteHappy T-Day! Enjoy the warm days!
Hugs, Susi
The still life is beautiful and from an artist I've never heard of before. Your cookies look wonderful. It's been forever since I've made peanut butter cookies and yours look SO tempting. Thanks for sharing the still live, your yummy looking cookies, and your drink with us for T this Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteIt's even warmer where I live. Yesterday it was 92 F here and tomorrow (Wednesday) it's supposed to be in the mid to high 90s F. I'm SO ready for autumn to arrive.
Love your chirping chipmunk. Great painting and the cookies look tempting. Here it's really cold, I am sitting huddled under a blanket. Happy T Day, Valerie
ReplyDeleteBeautiful painting. Oooh, and peanut butter cookies- my fave- especially right out of the oven-yum! I guess you really were serenaded by the chipmunks:):) The few we get rarely make much noise. Enjoy that warm weather- we're still having it too- and happy T day!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos and I have never heard a chipmunk chirping. To me it sounded quite birdlike.
ReplyDeleteYour cookies looked delicious.
Happy T day wishes.

Well he is a little talker isn't he...lol Love your painting and the PB cookies sound sound like something i need to make.. YUM! Happy T day! Hugs! deb
ReplyDeleteLove the painting you are sharing! Your cookies look yummy! I would love those chipmunks on my decking! It has turned cold here today - I think we can say Summer is over in the UK! Happy T Day! Chrisx
ReplyDeleteI do like fresh fruit, but cookies would win me over any time & everytime & a nice mug of tea. It's really such a mixed bag of weather up & down in temperatures. My friends in Calgary Alberta got 20 cm of snow - almost 8" today! I'm not going to complain too loudly. After a few minutes that chipmunk warning chirp gets annoying for me ... could be I need another cookie (col).
ReplyDeleteSo funny that you are wondering why it is so hot. I concur! It has been hot here as well and I am ready for fall temperatures. That painting is so beautiful as well as your plate of delicious looking cookies.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tea Day,
Kate
I know so little about art at all. The cookies look yummy. LOVE the chipmunk serenade!
ReplyDeletei cooked some roast apple jam yesterday, which would go perfectly with your cookies! i enjoyed the chipmunk serenade:))
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful still life painting and your peanutbuter crisscross cookies look delicious! The chirping chipmunk serenade made me smile too ...lol 😉. I'm loving you sunflower mug - Happy T Tuesday! J 😊 x
ReplyDeleteI am really getting to the last of T posts. But I did want to get by, and I am glad you did. I eat a lot of fruit too but those cookies look yummy. Are they peanut butter? My favorite. Those chipmunks are something else-if they are like mine that is-and I image they are. I hope it was a good one. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteSorry to be so late, D. We just got back from vacation and I'm playing catch-up.
ReplyDeleteHomemade peanut butter cookies - yum - one of my favorites.
Now I know why they call them "chip"monks. That was so cute!
Belated Happy T-day wishes! Hugs, Eileen
