Memphis Botanic Gardens Daffodils
A recent trip to the Botanic Gardens showed that our unwillingness to go there in the cold, dreary rain made us miss the height of the daffodil season. There were still some pretty ones, though:
There were also tulips:
and flowering trees:
What a wonderful place to spend time!

OMG - please send some of this wonderful spring signs to me - here it was so extremly cold again today...brrr!
ReplyDeleteI'm sending those spring breezes :) It's beautiful here, and we're past the date of last frost.
DeleteThe rain seems to have been good for the daffodils. They are gorgeous. I also LOVE the beautiful tulips. I checked on mine today and there are a few leaves showing, but it's been so dry, I can't imagine how they will ever bloom. Don't tell Susi, but it was 77F here today! It was a perfect day, except for the high winds and the lack of moisture, of course.
ReplyDeleteI truly LOVE all these photos you shared with us. It's truly a gorgeous time to be taking in these wonderful perennials and trees.
The daffodils are always gorgeous here beginning in February. The Dixon Gardens has the best tulips, and I hope to get there during the next few days. You had warmer temps at 77F than we've had so far :)
DeleteSpring! :)
ReplyDeleteYes! We're past the date of last frost, so I feel safe in trusting spring now :)
DeleteI am so anxious for spring to install & bloom in our area. Such a pretty walk for you through the daffodils.
ReplyDeleteThis park has the best daffodils. They're planted in large areas and are a joy to behold :) Such cheering flowers!
DeleteYour spring has REALLY arrived! The flowers look beautiful. You are lucky to get a March spring. :) Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteWe really are lucky. It's been spring here since February, but it's been so rainy I didn't go out into it.
DeleteBeautiful signs of Spring! My poor daffodils are suffering under the latest snow :-(
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day,
Alison xx
Our spring flowers are suffering from all this rain. It's raining again here -yesterday and today. We hardly ever get snow, and even then it's not much and doesn't last.
