Coffee Homeground

Coffee Homeground:

by Kate Bush, who will be celebrating her 57th birthday day after tomorrow.

Lyrics excerpt:
Well, you won't get me with your Belladonna, in the coffee,
And you won't get me with your arsenic, in the pot of tea,
And you won't get me in a hole to rot, with your hemlock
On the rocks.

Please join the T Party over at Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog, where people are sharing tea or coffee and a lot of art. The Artist Trading Card (ATC) swap in celebration of the 2-year anniversary of these weekly gatherings was great fun for me, as I learned how to make the ATCs.

  1. There is no one quite like her, is there? I covet those green cups and creamer on the silver tray about 3.50 into the video. I used to go to a place that had those, almost exactly, but can´t remember where it was....

    1. I have a cup -a demitasse cup- that looks a bit like those green ones. Mine has a gold rim, and I get it out at Christmas-time. I like the thickness of the glass.

I think her music is interesting.

  2. I'm simply THRILLED to read you made ATCs. They are tiny, fun works of art. I have always said the process is 1) create a background, 2) create a foreground, and 3) create words, quotes or some way to tie the piece together.

This was a fun piece you chose for this week, and I'm thrilled that you chose someone who is celebrating a birthday this week. It's that attention to detail that I always enjoy about your chosen weekly entries. Thanks for sharing this for T this Tuesday, and thanks for making so many ATCs, too.

  3. You always share the most interesting music etc. in your posts and it is a joy to come and visit! So glad to hear you've been making ATCs-and please don't feel bad if all you have sent was an ATC for the swap. Everyone is different and not all those swapping send anything more than the ATC. I happen to have tons of supplies and so it is a pleasure for me to give some away:)
    Happy T day!

  6. Interesting...that's how I would describe most of her music I must say...! I think it's fab that you delved into the ATC world....they're really quite manageable aren't they....my angst is always portrait or landscape?!!!

    1. Yes, I bought a notebook and some of those 9-to-a-page storage sheets and then realized that portrait works better in those. But sometimes landscape just is more suitable. It is a puzzle.
