Buzzy Bees

As I left the house this morning, I heard such a loud buzzing noise! I turned to look, and the bush was covered with busy, buzzy, hovering bees. I couldn't get a good picture, of course, but I don't remember this bush being so popular with the bees in years past. Maybe I just didn't notice. The flowers are tiny but quite sweet-smelling, and the bees are responding to the call.

  2. A couple of weeks ago one of our neighbors knocked a hive out of a tree in their front yard. I wouldn't have noticed except I was taking the garbage out and they were in the street in front of my house. They called me over to explain that they were trying to capture the bees from the hive they destroyed. They had a box turned on it's side with sugar water placed in the bottom. Darned if it didn't work they had captured hundreds of bees. Sorry for rambling but your bush made me think of the bee herders.

  5. i know somebody -well, actually, i've never met them but know them online- who keeps bees. sounds interesting. the last time we discussed it she was quite concerned about the hive die-offs. i don't know how her bees are doing now.
