Trigun: Badlands Rumble is a 2010 science fiction western anime film based on the manga. It took me a while to get into anime, but the more I see the more I appreciate what it has to offer. This one is fun to watch. I've seen quite a bit of the Vash the Stampede character, but this movie is enjoyable without any background. I like the Wolfwood character, and he is here is all his glory.

Japan Cinema says, "For the familiar fans hoping for a continuation of the series or a reboot that’s more faithful to the manga, they are bound to be disappointed. Still this was an entertaining ride that all fans of anime should check out." The Seattle Times calls it "loud, chaotic, colorful, occasionally amusing and aimed at a fanboy target audience." The Anime News Network has information. DVD Talk says, "Badlands Rumble is on par with Cowboy Bebop: The Movie as one of the best anime films ever produced following the conclusion of a much loved anime series." DVD Verdict says it "succeeds at not only capturing the feel of the best episodes of the show, but outstrips them with a well-paced, lightning quick, comic adventure filled with derring-do and slick production." Rotten Tomatoes doesn't have a critics score, but the audience score is 80%.
