Krabat: The Sorcerer's Apprentice

Krabat: The Sorcerer's Apprentice is a 1978 animated fantasy film from Czechoslovakia. It's based on a book, which in turn was based on a Serbian folk tale. I'm unfamiliar with the book or the folk tale so can't judge how faithful it is to either. It's a nice story of love conquers all with black magic standing in the way. The animation is a stop-motion style with paper doll-type figures. Quaint, in a way, and appealing. It felt suitable to the material.
