The Anniversary Swap

Thanks, first of all, to my swap partner Nicole, who emailed me to let me know that Today Is The Day to post our treats and treasures from the swap. I'd not have realized otherwise, as my blogging has taken a back seat to getting The Husband moved back in on a permanent basis. Combining two kitchens is a challenge, and he had gotten a few peices of furniture which there was absolutely no room for but which we absolutely wanted to keep. I had thought I had figured out where to put everything, but nothing fits that way. At any rate, most of the boxes are unpacked now, so that's progress.

If I had ever decided to blog from my phone keeping up would've been much easier -I'm keeping up with Facebook and email just fine, after all- but I've always blogged from my laptop which has a stand it stays on over in a corner...

I do hope to get back in the swing of things soon. In the meantime, thanks again to Nicole. She's been a saint through all of this!

I'm not sure I can do this, but I'm hoping I can add a photo of the post card and teas Nicole sent me by uploading them directly from my phone. We shall see...

Hoorah! It looks like it worked!

I'm going to go drink that peach tea she sent. Please join me over at the T Stands for Tuesday blogger gathering. I want to express my gratitude here for Elizabeth's willingness to do the work required to keep such an endeavor enjoyable and ongoing for so long. It has meant a lot to me over the years, and I appreciate it more than words can say.

Oh, dear! I forgot the 10! Nicole says we're supposed to include a 10 for the 10th Anniversary... Here's mine:

  2. Yes, combining two households can be a bit tricky. I don't do phone at all so blogging from my phone would be impossible. You did great. It's amazing that Elizabeth has been doing this for 10 years. Have a great day today.

  3. Sounds like you are getting close to done...with tweaking, of course. I can't write anything on my phone--blog, emails, etc. Without my laptop I fall off line except for texts that I can do with voice writing (hysterically funny things are typed for me). ;)

  7. Your teas from the swap look really delicious, not familiar with that company, love the post card Nicole sent too. Happy 10th T anniversary, and good luck getting everything sorted out and arranged. I don't know how people use their smart phones for the computer-I wouldn't be able to do that all. I only work on desk computer. Hugs from the lake

  8. I love your balloons 10! That's a great way to show it. Nicole's gifts to you are lovely as well, her postcard reminds me of the many times we spent on the Oregon Coast and especially in her area.
I have never tried to blog from my phone, I'm not sure I would be able to do that. I do love my laptop.

  10. I"m glad to see your post. I'm glad things are getting settled in. I was getting ready to send you an email if I didn't see a post from you soon -- I was getting worried and didn't remember your saying you were taking a break. (But then, I've been erratic of late and missed things, too.) Hope all the move in goes well. Happy T-Versary!

  13. You did good! Photo of goodies, a 10, and a post! I know what you mean. I can only post my blog from my laptop and can only comment from my laptop. I don't do the phone thing, and my iPad doesn't let me post or do comments. So have to go to another room to use laptop or unplug it and carry it into living room. A real pain! LOL Hugs!

  14. Moving in and out is on my "wish to never do" list. Didn't mind it when I was younger but our last move 16 years ago still haunts me. Looks like we may me moving in a year (very close) but I am already dreading it. I am impressed you did your post on your phone - the phone is just too small for me to do it well. Lovely teas you received and very fun 10 picture. Take care, rest up and hope the finishing up with everything goes well. Happy special t-day and hugz

  17. Oh, yes, I remember.. we did it the easy way: Ingo´s apartment got flooded badly, so most had to go to the trash...
Oh, I don´t think I could blog on the phone! I have a PC and two huge monitors...
    Hmm, the tea looks yummy!

  18. Very glad to read that your hubby is all settled back into home. What a lovely treat from Nicole. I don't think my old phone could take the stress of blogging ... no wait that's me that couldn't take the stress (lol), Blogger challenges my computer far too often.
