Wings of Desire is a 1987 West German/French film directed by Wim Wenders. Peter Falk is part of the cast. I looked for this film for a long time but never saw it free on anything I had access to and never wanted to pay the going rate for a DVD. I watched it on HBO Max.

We were in Broome, Western Australia, in cinema and it was.... that Na#i-movie, Life is Beautiful, I thought it would be English, of course. Nope, Italian, which I don´t understand, hence subtitles were no problem.
This... our structure of language is different (funnily post already on this for tomorrow) and it´s confusing, because you "hear"/listen automatically, but your eyes follow the written words and the brain goes "puff".
Interesting movie.
I had three teamleaders from East Germany. With one I still WhatsApp every day.
And I´ve been there, too. Right after the wall fell the school took us on a tour (we live near the "frontier".
I think maybe second post to come, you made my mind roll.
The translations... I do wonder what I'm missing when I watch a movie and depend on the subtitles.

DeleteYou've been watching some interesting sounding films since I last checked in Nita. This latest one sounds really good. I've got HBO right now so I am writing it down so I can check it out some late afternoon when it is dark. Seems like it is dark a lot now-oh November. I moving into my winter movie watching time.
