We need a catchy poem like this about the 6th of January.Remember, remember!
The fifth of November,
The Gunpowder treason and plot;
I know of no reason
Why the Gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot!

ReplyDelete...amen!
ReplyDeleteWe do indeed.
ReplyDeleteI agree.
ReplyDeleteGood one.
ReplyDeleteOH we do need this poem. I hadn't heard this one about Guy Fawkes night either.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely!!!
ReplyDeleteNever forget.
Oh yes, the man who incited it was much worse that Guy Faulkes! Valerie
ReplyDeleteI completely forgot about Guy Fawkes night until someone said to be careful during the evening on Friday. I'll go along with a catchy ditty like that for Jan. 6. Attempting to blow up the Tower of London was mild compared to what that deranged former leader did on Jan. 6. This is one of those dates we should be forced to remember.
