We like this one fine, but Seattle's Best Dark and Intense Level 5 coffee doesn't have the full, robust flavor we are looking for. It's strong enough and dark enough but not full-bodied enough. It also seems a bit bitter to us. Once this is gone, we won't replace it. I feel like we keep rejecting perfectly decent coffees, but reject it we do, so "another one bites the dust" (and the world is a song cue):
The cup is just a Dollar Tree mug, but I like the shape and color and use it a lot.
I'm posting this to join the fun at T Stands for Tuesday at Bleubeard and Elizabeth's blog.
I also like the shape of that mug, and blue is my favorite color. If you don't care for the taste of the coffee, then it's best to reject it. No sense drinking something you don't care for. And if it's bitter, there's nothing worse. I've rejected various French Roasts as a result of their being bitter.
ReplyDeleteI can't keep up with your posts. You post more than anyone I know. Could it be because you drink so much coffee (grin)?
Happy T today, dear.
roflol! i schedule posts ahead, trying not to have more than 2 each day. i should've followed the blogging advice i got when i first started, which was to focus on one subject. but noooo, i gather it all together lol... the coffee and tea, the westerns, the foreign/horror/sff films, the books, the random family fun... i think the bloggers who focus may have the right idea
DeleteI love the color of that mug. I don't love Seattles Best Coffee. I do love Queen and I am smiling after watching the video. I guess I'll be singing that song all day.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday.
the second i wrote the words "another one bites the dust" queen came to mind. glad you liked it ;)
DeleteI'm back.... well . . . actually, um, I never left. I have been bopping around your blog. You have put together a tangle of thoughts here on your blog. And I have enjoyed being sucked into it.
DeleteI started watching "Footprints on the Moon" and will have to go back later when I have time.
I want an ELF
Scorsese's favorite movies... um well... no comment
Avatar. I liked the movie. The art, the story, the message. . . yep, I am one of "those" people. I cried when the tree fell. I cried at the end. Sad tears and happy tears , in that order.
I will be back
often
oh and my DH . . . aka "the Lifeguard" has a song for every situation in life. I love how his mind works.
"Scorsese's favorite movies... um well... no comment"
Deleteroflol! tastes do differ wildly, don't they!
we often say, "the world is a song cue" around here. we're always quoting a lyric line, then somebody will quote the next line.
i'm glad you like my tangles. :) the ELF is a marvel, isn't it!
All coffee tastes bitter to me. :) love the cup. Have a great T day! Hugs
ReplyDeletei've been told that milk or cream would take away the bitter taste, but i prefer black coffee. happy t day to you, too! :)
DeleteOkay, so I am going to be humming that song ALL DAY!! LOL good thing I LIKE the song! I have a Dollar Tree cup I bought to see if I liked the size, loved it, went back to buy more and found that so did everybody else. They were all gone!! I am a steadfast Yuban coffee fan.
ReplyDeleteHappy T Day
i've never tried yuban. thx for the tip! :)
DeleteHappy Tuesday!! I like you cup, it's my favorite color. Too bad about the coffee, I'm a tea drinker so can't agree or disagree with you on it. Great song to have stuck in my head now, makes me feel young again, THANKS!! Have a nice day!
ReplyDeletethe coffee is fine, really, just not the perfect coffee we're looking for. we are being ruthless with our coffee trials lol.
DeleteThat song is happily stuck in my head, too! Hopefully you will find the perfect coffee to have in that awesome cup; until then, the journey to it will be fun!
ReplyDeleteyes, we're getting a kick out of trying different brands. there are so many!
DeleteThat is a fun shape of mug. I'm pretty non-wavering on my coffee these days. Of course I'm likely missing out on something awesome.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday!
we're trying to find several perfect coffees lol. wish us luck
DeleteNever had Seattle coffee.. but then I am a milky frothy coffee drinker, so anything goes! LOL Love the shape of that mug, it certainly doesn't look dollar store... oh boy do I miss the dollar stores... the equivalent here in Brisbane is the reject shop and everything is $4 but i recognise it from the dollar store!!
ReplyDeletei am taken by the shape of this mug, too. at "dollar tree" dollar stores everything is actually $1! :)
Deleteyou are much more of a coffee gourmet than I ... I like it rather mild and smooth...but have always loved that Queen song!
ReplyDeleteno gourmets here lol. we're just having fun trying some different kinds. queen! yes! :)
