Lemon Lift Tea
I discovered Lemon Lift Tea years ago in one of the Bigelow variety boxes. I like it, but I'm the only one. I used to send The Daughter care packages to her dorm when she was in school, and she told me later that this was the only thing I sent that she didn't like. Well, more for me, then, right? It keeps well, so I don't have trouble drinking it before it can possibly go bad. [Does tea ever go bad when bags are individually foil-wrapped?] I now buy the boxes that just have Lemon Lift in them, and as I drink this cup I realize I need to do that soon.
The cup is one of my favorites. I bought it at the Pink Palace Craft Fair in 1999. I know the year because it's marked on the bottom along with the artist's name: Robert Alewine.

I love lemon but have not tried this tea. I'll have to give it a shot. Love the mug as well. Handmade pottery is a weakness of mine.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tuesday!
that craft fair is a great place to pick up hand-made pottery, both useful and decorative.
Deletei hope you like the lemon lift tea. :)
I'm in LOVE with that mug. I adore anything blue (especially cobalt), so this one spoke to me. Of all the teas I've had, Bigelow is one of my favorites. I've never had the Lemon Lift, but I bet I'd love it, too!!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a lovely T today.
yes, i'm a sucker for a blue mug lol
Deleteyour uplifting lemon tea looks especially inviting in that pretty mug...
ReplyDeleteblues and pottery always speak to me!
Happy T Day
oxo
uplifting is a good word for this tea. :)
DeleteHappy T day! Your cup is lovely, and it reminds me of another cup I can show next week - one I have never used!
ReplyDeleteI have been making lemon tea from the lemon balm and lemon verbena in the garden when it is shooting, it is lovely. Thanks for visiting me, yes I have a very good camera, but only two lenses, so even though I wasn't really that close I could blow it up and crop it and still keep the detail.
i look forward to seeing your cup. :)
Deletei've never thought of making my own herbal lemon tea, but i'll make a note of these herbs and look for them next spring. that would be fun!
Your Lemon Lift looks right at home with that Blue Mug. Thanks for the link to Robert's website. I love pottery and will check out his site as soon as I finish talkin' tea with my new friends.
ReplyDeleteisn't t tuesday great fun! i do feel like a have new friends :)
DeleteI enjoy a cup of lemon tea when I have a sore throat or cold--I find it is very soothing. I like the glaze on your handmade pottery cup. Happy Tuesday!
ReplyDeletethx :) i liked the glaze, the shape, the color... this mug jumped into my hand at that stall lol
DeleteHello and happy Tuesday! What a pretty mug, love the blue and a new tea for me to learn about too. Thanks for sharing and have a good week.
ReplyDeletei'm learning about new teas during my t tuesday visits, too. sweet! :)
DeleteI'm another one who likes the blue mug. I do like Bigelow teas but admit I'd probably let you have the lemon lift out of a variety pack. Can we trade and I get all the Earl Grey?
ReplyDeleteDarla
my husband likes the earl grey teas or i'd pack them up and send them to you. he doesn't like the lemon one at all.
DeleteI don't think I can get Bigelow tea here, but lemon lift sounds good to me! My Mother always drinks lemon tea so it would be a favourite with her. Your mug looks heavy and solid, hand crafted things always feel better in the hand. Hope you have a lovely Tuesday!
ReplyDeletethe mug has a good weight and a good shape and a good feel for the handle. i admire the crafts folks who design mugs and cups that feel as good in the hand as they look on the shelf.
