Summer Avenue 42


One day when they were out together, The Younger Son found this 42 and The Husband took a picture of it for me.

    bleubeard and elizabeth, these are scattered all over the place here. i don't know if memphis is unique in this, but we seem to like the 42 "thing".

    bob, i was impressed. most of them are much smaller, i'm sure to escape notice of those who like to wipe out this kind of thing. the line between desirable "art" and undesirable graffiti is not clear in the minds of city fathers and property owners

    42 is "The Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, The Universe, and Everything" from douglas adams' hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy. sounds like a handy thing to have.
